The US banks that have received government assistance during the worst of the financial crisis is itching to payback the money as the situation improves in recent weeks. Sounds Fair? According to a commentary from Barry Ritholtz, the answer is... "Not so fast"! Clearly something is fundamentially wrong with the current system and needed fixing. Repaying the TARP is only the beginning. It's time that the US authorities do a comprehensive review of what went wrong and fix it ASAP. When the bankers and i-bankers made billions with their bonuses while everyone else was screwed, we will like some justice done.
